Connie Herbert, 65, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away August 15, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Connie was born September 30, 1955, in Bountiful, Utah, to Neale G. Davis and Barbara Lavaun Davis. She grew up and attended schools in Centerville, Utah, and graduated with honors from Viewmont High School. Connie went on to attended Ricks College and Utah State University. On October 3, 1975, she married Robert "Leo" Herbert in Centerville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 14, 1977. Connie and Leo made their home in Ammon, where Connie owned and operated Drug Collections of Eastern Idaho.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as the Ammon Stake Relief Society President and in several Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women presidencies over the past 39 years. Connie and Leo served a mission for the church in Florida Ft. Lauderdale Mission. She loved serving her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, and loved her horses, goats, many dogs, rabbits and other animals. She always thought of others and their needs and was one of the first to show up with a kind word, thoughtful gift or comfort food. Her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was a light to many.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Leo Herbert of Ammon, ID; mother, Barbara Davis of Centerville, UT; their six children, Christy (Tory) Taylor of Ammon, ID, Michael (Christine) Herbert of Lehi, UT, Morgan (Megan) Herbert of Watertown, SD, Jason Herbert of Iona, ID, Justin (Brenna) Herbert of Ammon, ID, and Jared (Bethany) Herbert of Ammon, ID; three brothers, Brian (Darlene) Davis of Lindon, UT, Gary (Jan) Davis of Warren, UT, and Wayne (Sheila) Davis of Francis, UT; and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Neale G. Davis; and brother, Scott Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021, at Ammon Stake Center, 2055 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Mark Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
