Connie Jean Brower Crump, 60, died July 1, 2013, at Mount Vernon Assisted Living Center under the care of Hearts for Hospice in Idaho Falls. She was born Nov. 21, 1952, in Twin Falls, Id., to Earl (Jesse) Brower and Nancy J. Wedge Brower. Connie grew up in Pocatello, graduating from Highland High School in 1971. During high school, she was active in the local Job's Daughters Bethel #57 and was elected Honored Queen in 1972. Connie graduated from Idaho State University with her practical nursing license in 1976. Connie's 23 year marriage to Steven L. Crump, formerly of Pocatello, gave her two dearly loved sons, Michael and Eric. She was always very proud of their lives and accomplishments. She was employed at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center for over two decades, working primarily on the maternal/child unit where she cared for thousands of Magic Valley newborns and their families. Toward the end of her career, Connie demonstrated the same level of love and care for her patients at Twin Falls Care Center. She enjoyed reading, needlework, maintaining her flower garden, and was known for her fondness for animals, particularly penguins. A treasured memory was her 2003 cruise to Alaska Survivors include two sons, Eric of Daejeon, South Korea, and Michael of San Jose, Calif. Other survivors include her companion of the past several years, Randy Linville of Twin Falls; a sister, Carol (Kent) Lance of Idaho Falls; a brother, Bart (Janie) Brower of Idaho Falls, and numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces. Connie was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 10 at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery in Pocatello. Memorial donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund (worldwildlife.org) or Hearts for Hospice (503 S Woodruff 83401) of Idaho Falls.
