Connie Mansfield Clements, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 15, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a lingering illness. She was born February 9, 1944, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George W. Mansfield and Catherine Estell Brown Mansfield. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On November 19, 1960, Connie married Gene Delbert Clements in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They raised their family of four children in Idaho Falls. Connie was a mother and a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper. For over 30 years she and Gene ran KC Frames, their picture and framing shop. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was also involved in Cub Scouts on local and district levels. In Ducks Unlimited, she served as State Chairperson and District Chairperson. She founded Eagle Rock Ladies Ducks Unlimited Event. Connie loved to long stitch, latch hook, and to spend time building the family’s cabin in Star Valley, Wyoming. Her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Gene, of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Connie Marie (Bob) Studer of Rupert, ID; daughter, Pamela Sue (Warren) Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Robert Gene (Tammy) Clements of Richland, WA; 10 grandchildren: Aubrie (Chuck) Pierson, Stephanie (Keith) Long, Amanda Studer, Jared Studer, Joshua Peterson, Daniel (Courtney) Peterson, Robbie Clements, Zach Clements, John Henry Clements, and David Clements; 3 Great grandchildren: Madison Long, Catherine Long, and Makayla Pierson; and a brother, George J. (Jeanette) Mansfield. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Scott Clements. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Bishop Frank L. Plain of the Idaho Falls LDS Kearney 2nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., both visitations at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
