Colleen Harriett Griffith

Colleen Harriett Griffith, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 9, 2023, at her home. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Colleen was born June 3, 1938, in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Horace Alvin Pack and Harriett Hopkins Pack. She grew up and attended schools in Soda Springs and attended Grace High School. Colleen worked as a dry cleaning specialist for D&L Cleaners for 30 years.

Colleen married Jerry Mortenson in the late 1950's. They later moved to Preston, Idaho. Together, they had five children. They were later divorced. In the early 1970's, Colleen married Garrick Griffith, and together they had one son. They were later divorced. Colleen moved to Idaho Falls in the early 1970's.

Colleen was very creative. She was talented in quilting, arts and crafts, and flower arranging. She had a beautiful yard where she spent many hours landscaping. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and taking selfies.

Colleen is survived by her son, Rocky (Carol) Mortenson of Blackfoot, ID; daughter, Debbie (Bob) Fisher of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Penny (Bart) Traveller of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Tracy (Melynda) Mortenson of Meridian, ID; son, Scott Mortenson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jason (Cindy) Griffith of Idaho Falls, ID; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Beverly Jean Harrington.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Fielding Memorial Park.
