Coleen Nadene Jacobson

Coleen Nadene Jacobson, 84, of Irwin, passed away December 26, 2023, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Coleen was born April 25, 1939, in Carlton, Oregon, to Elmer Earl Lightfoot and Lynda Frances Hershberger Lightfoot. She attended grade school in Twin Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Ririe High School where she was a member of the Pep Club.

On June 17, 1957, she married the love of her life, Roger Jacobson, in Rigby, Idaho. Coleen and Roger made their home in Irwin, Idaho. Roger passed away February of 2023.

Coleen loved taking care of people and worked in various nursing homes. She started the Quick Response Unit in Swan Valley. Coleen was also a certified Emergency Medical Technician and volunteered for over 35 years. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Coleen is survived by her three children, Kathryn (Tom) Newman of Rigby, ID, Kevin (Lorrie) Jacobson of Irwin, ID, and Klint (Judy) Jacobson of Swan Valley, ID; sister, Sharron McManigal of Tridel, UT; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Jacobson; son, Lane Brent Jacobson; and sister, Roberta Kay Moeller.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services.
