Cody Michael Adams passed away on January 28, 2022, after a long brave battle with substance addiction. While Cody eventually succumbed to this challenge, it did not define who he was: a beloved son and younger brother, an attentive and loving father and uncle, and a talented artist working in many mediums.
Cody enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoying road trips on his Harley Davidson and mountain adventures on his dirt bike. When he wasn't painting his artwork on virtually any available surface, he was leaving his mark on others in more ways than one, with his smile, his laughter, and his beautiful tattoo artistry. All of these will live on in his memory.
Cody recently celebrated two years of sobriety, during which he started his own business, found new hobbies, and reconnected with his family and friends. He was very grateful to District Judge Dane Watkins and Libertie Potts' recovery team for the tough love, compassion, and support that led him to this point in his life. Our family will be forever thankful as well.
Cody's friends are too many to mention and should already know how much he loved and cherished them. Simply read his social media posts for the proof. Jordan and her daughter Scarlet were especially important to him.
Our family, parents Frank and Kerry, siblings, Jamie and Frankie, Cody's son Jaden, his nephews Zach, Daniel, Kobe, and nieces Sofia, Kierra, and Cali, all loved Cody unconditionally and will miss him dearly.
There will not be a public memorial service for Cody. Instead, we will share Cody's memories with everyone every time we are together. In lieu of flowers, our family asks that you consider supporting a substance addiction treatment program in your community.
