BOUNTIFUL, UT -- Clynneth Daniel “Dick” Kirkham, 94, of Bountiful, Utah, a longtime resident of Ashton who ranched east of Marysville, passed away March 19, 2006, at Heritage Place in Bountiful, Utah. Dick was born November 10, 1911, in Ashton, Idaho, to Daniel Kirkham and Johannah Williams Kirkham. He grew up on the family farm and attended Hugginsville School. Dick married Thelma Birch December 12, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple June 2, 1965. They made their home east of Marysville, where he spent his life working on the family farm and ranch. Thelma passed away August 2, 2004. Following her death he moved to an assisted living center in Bountiful, Utah, to be near his son, Mike, and granddaughter, Tracie. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dick loved the outdoors, taking care of cattle and tending sheep, and riding his four wheeler. Surviving are: Son, Michael (Suzanne) Kirkham of Moab, UT Granddaughter, Tracie Kirkham of Salt Lake City, UT Brother: LeGrande “Kirk” Kirkham of Ashton, ID Brother: Clifford “Bill” (Ellyn) Kirkham of Blackfoot, ID Sister: Lucille (Alton) Heath of Emmett, ID, Sister: Marcia (Ned) Haycock of Sherman, TX, a Sister-In-Law: Blanche Kirkham of Thornton, ID, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma, and three brothers, Vern, Ed, and Cleo "Chip" Kirkham. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Ashton LDS 4th Ward, 1313 North 3600 East, Ashton, with Bishop Hal Harrigfeld officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Ashton-Pineview Cemetery.
