Clifton Keith Garriott, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 27, 2011, at his home of causes incident to age. Clifton was born December 29, 1925, in Waltham, Minnesota, to Henry Ferrel Garriott and Florence Livingston Garriott. The family moved to Idaho Falls when he was six years old and he attended school here. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He married Donna Ilean Jenkins February 20, 1945, in Dillon, Montana. Cliff was an Equipment Operator and Supervisor for H-K Contractors until his retirement. He was also one of the original employees of Hartwell Excavating. Cliff loved horses. Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Donna, a daughter, Jill Ann (Bard) Heileson of Iona, ID; two sons, Danny Clifton Garriott and Bruce (Kenda) Garriott, both of Idaho Falls, ID; 7 grandchildren, T. C. (Amber) Garriott, Andrea (Tyler) Pettingill, Dustin Garriott, Josh Heileson, Aimee (Matt) Stanger, Stephanie (David) Healea, and Nick (Jamie) Garriott, and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Milton Garriott, a sister, Eileen Anderson, and a granddaughter, Haley Heileson Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
