Clifford (Cliff) Dale Roberts, 90, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 12, 2017, at the Gables II of Blackfoot.

He was born May 1, 1927, in Sugar City, Idaho to Henry Charles Roberts and Lillie Fredra Dale Roberts. He grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Sugar City High School in 1945. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served as a Corporal during World War II. Following his honorable discharge in 1947, he continued his education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed working at the cannery for many years. Clifford was a master gardener and loved working in his gardens with his birds and fish and making his home beautiful for all to see. He also enjoyed dancing and music of all types.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews who love him dearly, as well as all the kid who grew up in his neighborhood that called him "Grandpa". He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillie Roberts; siblings, Jay (Phyllis) Roberts, Adeline (Bill) Curtis, Carl (Hellen) Roberts, Ilene (Lynn) Davis, Fredra (Walter) Martin, and Baby Faye.

Private graveside services for family members will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Sugar City Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Gable’s staff and Solace Hospice for their love and support of our sweet uncle. He loved them like family.
