Dr. Clifford "Dr. C. A. Patterson" Patterson

Dr. Clifford A. Patterson passed away April 16, 2011, in Idaho Falls. Dr. Patterson was born January 26, 1922, in Remer, Minnesota, to Earl and Lillian Patterson. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as a navigator and bombardier. He received a purple heart for his service. In December of 1944, Cliff married Lois Elaine Eckloff. Together they raised three children. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a DDS degree in 1953. Cliff served a term as President of the Idaho State Dental Society and practiced dentistry in Idaho Falls for many years. He was an avid sportsman and taught his love of the outdoors to his children. He was a charter member of the Russet Lions and worked tirelessly on community projects: The Noise Park and Ririe Reservoir. Survivors include Daughter, Linda (Gene) Tycz of Idaho Falls; Son, Michael (Diane) Patterson of Anchorage, Alaska; Son, Douglas (Cheryl) Patterson of Pocatello; five grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois, a sister, and a brother. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 N. Water, with Reverend Brenda Sene officiating.
