CLEO WERNER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Cleo Geraldine Lux Werner, 70, of Idaho Falls, died August 14, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1937, at Thompson Falls, Montana, to Charles Crokett Lux and Margaret Martha Matthews Lux. She grew up and attended schools in the area. On April 28, 1954, she married Leo Werner in Spokane, Washington. She was a career woman, mother and homemaker. She worked as a waitress at Smitty's Pancake and Steak House in Spokane for 20 years. In 1971, she moved to Idaho Falls where she and her husband purchased Smitty's Pancake and Steak House and owned and operated it for 36 years. Cleo loved running her restaurant, enjoyed spending time with her family, and adored being a grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. Survivors include: Son: Dennis L. (Christine Toone) Werner, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Darlene M. (Craig) Seymour, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: William Lux, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Wyona (Don) Dryden, Deer Park, WA Sister: Loretta (Clifford) Clark, Spirit Lake, ID 4 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2007, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 N. Water, with Reverend Brenda Sene officiating The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
