Clayton Wilfredo McClaskey, 38, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 25, 2018, at his home.

Clayton was born May 23, 1980, in Manila, Philippines. In 1983, he was adopted by Steven McClaskey and Thirza Jordan McClaskey. He had polio as a child and though he was not expected to walk, he still did. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Hillcrest High School. He also attended Idaho State University. He was a self-driven young man, earning his Eagle Scout Award and managing sports teams for high school and college.

On November 24, 2017, he married Aloha Smith in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Clayton and Aloha made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Clayton worked at Chick-Fil-A.

He was a member of Watersprings Church. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his children and family members.

Clayton is survived by his wife, Aloha McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; stepchildren, Mariah, Grace, Rose, and Jordan all of Idaho Falls, ID; parents, Steven and Thirza McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Aaron McClaskey of Van Nuys, CA; sister, Joy (David) Gallup of Casper, WY; sister, Sharifa (Steven) Phillips of Anthem, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Avenue). The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
