CLAYTON BELL IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO -- Clayton Eugene Bell, 77, of Idaho Falls passed away June 11, 2009 at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 12, 1931, at New Castle, Nebraska to James Lafayette Bell and Thelma Margaret Coyner Bell. The family moved to Iowa where he graduated from Toledo Iowa High School. He then attended Chaffey College in California where he received a Bachelor’s Degree. He served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class during the Korean War. On March 19, 1952, he married Belva Lerein Campbell in Portland, Oregon. He was an Electronics Engineer and worked in upper management at multiple companies. He also worked in the office at a steel mill and as a truck driver. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.), American Legion, and Steelworkers Union. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Clay enjoyed bowling, golf, skiing, reading, music, and sports. He was also a hugh fan of World War II movies, books, and memorabilia. Survivors are: Wife: Belva Bell, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Diana Lynn Mapes, Austin, TX Daughter: Barbara Jean Shankel, Bridgeview, IL Daughter: Sharon Lerein Ettaro, Michigan City, IN Daughter: Nancy JoAnn Bell, Austin, TX Daughter: Sandra Kay Lococo, Lakewood, CA Daughter: Rebekah Nichole Bell, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Melissa Marie Bell, Austin, TX 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lloyd Bell. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Idaho Falls LDS 9th Ward (395 2nd Street) with Bishop Larry Haws officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
