Clawson Clarence Richardson, 99, longtime resident of Ammon, passed away on June 17, 2011, at the home of his son, Wendell.
He was born May 17, 1912, in Menan, Idaho, to Clarence Richardson and Louie Marie Rawson Richardson. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Rigby High School. He continued his education by attending Idaho State University and Utah State University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology.
On September 17, 1937, he married Almira Cole in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a school teacher, a photographer, and a sales representative and retired from Intermountain Builders. He was a member of the National Guard and the Lion’s Club.
Clawson was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including 20 years of service as a temple officiator. He enjoyed fishing, photography, gardening, and was a very good handyman for all.

11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Dorothy Clayton; a granddaughter, Rebecca Richardson; a brother; and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at the Ammon LDS 6th Ward, 2150 Avocet, with Bishop Cam Payne officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
