Clarence Russel Scott, 71, of Ucon, Idaho, passed away January 6, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Clarence was born September 17, 1943, in Denison, Texas, to Russel Scott and Mary Nell Armstrong Scott. He grew up and attended schools in California and graduated from Diegto High School.
On October 13, 1998, he married Billie Jean Clapp Mackay in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Clarence and Billie made their home in Ucon, Idaho, where Clarence worked as a diesel mechanic in trucking and construction. He retired from R. E. Beck Construction in 2002.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed his grandchildren, woodworking, carving, camping, 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing, inventing things, firearms, and anything outdoors.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Billie Scott of Ucon, ID;
son, Scott Alan (Mandy) Mackay of Idaho Falls, ID;
daughter, Tammy Anderson of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother Clyde (Bobbi) Scott of California;
Brother Harry (Cindy) Scott of Oregon;
brother, Jimmy Scott of Nevada;
five grandchildren, Teagan Mackay, Cody Jensen, Kylee Jensen, KateLyn Anderson, and Khia Anderson; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Choel Benjamin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Idaho Falls Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Drive.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wood Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
