CLARENCE RALPH MOORE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Clarence Ralph Moore, 85, of Idaho
Falls, died April 14, 2004, at his home.
He was born December 15, 1918, in Shelton, Idaho to John
Moore and Violet Viola Ryset Moore. He grew up in the Shelton area and
attended grade school at a red brick 2 room schoolhouse. During his freshman
year he went to school in Ammon and then attended Ririe High School for
three years and graduated in 1936.
He served in World War II for 4 years as an airplane
engine mechanic in Italy and North Africa. While serving as a Staff Sargent,
his fighter group was credited with the single greatest victory of the
Italian campaign. He retired from the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) after
a lifetime service (October 1950-1974) as a fireman. While employed with
the AEC, he earned a special award for developing a fire hydrant flow
test pipe. After retiring he worked for School District #91 as a janitor
for five years.
In June of 1948, he married Merle Eliza Crow and they
were later divorced. On April 21, 1995, he married Janice Lynn Mace in
Idaho Falls.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints. He was a longstanding member of the Eagles Lodge. His hobbies
included hunting, fishing, reading, gardening and card games. He especially
enjoyed playing pool.

Step-son, Robert Gabbert, Idaho Falls
Step-son, John Kelley, Idaho Falls
11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren with two on the way.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April
19, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) with Counselor Cam Payne,
of the Ammon 6th Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends
on Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Monday for one hour prior to the services,
both at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Veterans
Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
