Biography

Clara E Wheeler Smith, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 13, 2011 at Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation. Clara was born January 26, 1922, in Riverton, ID to Jacob Archie Wheeler and Bessie Elizabeth Ellis Wheeler. She graduated from Ammon High School. Clara married Clifton Alvin Smith on September 11, 1940. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an artist and made porcelain dolls. Clara loved her family and loved gardening. Survivors include: Son: Darrel (Verlynn) Smith of Henderson, NV; Five Daughters: Merrivonne (Arthur) Seemann of Coolidge, AZ, Susanette (Monte) Crooks of Prescott, AZ, Jackie Smith of Idaho Falls, ID, Tanja (Dan) Hileman of Prosser, WA, Leisa (Duane) Black of Logan, UT; 23 grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Sidney Smith; daughter, Pamela Smith; three brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Mount McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay, Idaho, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave.
