Cindy (Canter) Meyer

Cynthia Jane Meyer, 68, of Boise, Idaho, passed away August 26, 2023.

Cindy was born January 6, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to Douglas Webb Canter and Sue Carol DeShazor. She grew up and attended schools in Cincinnati and later graduated from Glenbard East High School in Lombard, Illinois.

She attended Ricks College where she met Ben Meyer. They were married on July 14, 1976, in Idaho Falls and had five daughters. They settled in Idaho Falls where Cindy lived for 20 years. She and Ben later divorced and she moved to Boise.

Cindy worked for UPS for 33 years and was looking forward to retirement so she could spend more time with her grandchildren.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved family history and enjoyed attending the temple. She loved food storage, teaching, and helping others. She was a great seamstress, cook, and bargain shopper. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and really loved going on adventures with her grandchildren.

Cindy is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Meyer of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Carolyn (Aaron) Heward of Rexburg, ID; daughter, Anna (Rubi Lopez) Meyer of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lisa Robinson of Pocatello, ID; sister, Susan Rucker of Jerome, ID; sister, Jule (Everett) Webb of Grove City, OH; 4 grandsons, Todd, Cole, Hank, and Blake; and 6 granddaughters, Sophia, Brooklyn, Molly, Kaitlyn, Annabelle, and Lillian.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Meyer, and her parents, Douglas Canter and Sue McClanahan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at the Iona South Stake Center, 4440 High Grove Road in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
