Cindy Lee Gibbons

Cindy Lee Gibbons, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away on December 10, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Solace Hospice.

Cindy was born on February 22, 1957, in Palmdale, California, to Charles "Chuck" L. Gibbons and Gertrude "Trudy" Francis Bores Gibbons. She lived a life defined by deep love, strength, resilience, and a spirit of adventure.

After graduating from Skyline High School, Cindy and a dear lifelong friend backpacked through Europe on a two-month adventure. Shortly thereafter, she embraced another opportunity and moved to Kauai, Hawaii, where she worked at a golf course restaurant and a local donut shop for two years. She fell in love with the island’s beautiful landscape and culture and even learned to surf. Upon returning to Idaho, she attended Boise State University.

Cindy was also an avid and accomplished golfer. She truly loved the game and spent many happy hours on the course, where her skill, focus, and competitive spirit showed through.

Throughout her life, Cindy was a dedicated and hardworking professional. She held various jobs over the years and was known for her strong work ethic and reliability. She was an excellent bookkeeper, a role she took great pride in. She ultimately retired from Standard Parking at the airport.

In 1986, Cindy began what she called her greatest adventure: becoming a mother. She was the proud mother of Ashlie C. Voigt, and later became a devoted grandmother to four granddaughters.

Cindy was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She gave endlessly of herself to those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering presence touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Above all else, Cindy cherished her family. She was the heart of her home, offering comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her great sense of humor, insight, and ability to make others feel seen and safe will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She faced life's challenges with courage and grace, showing remarkable strength even in the most difficult seasons. Her legacy lives on through the lives she helped to shape, the love she gave, and the memories that will be carried forward.

Cindy is survived by her daughter, Ashlie (Cole Furniss) Voigt; and her four grandchildren, Kiara, Kelsie, Bexley and Karisa; and many beloved family members and friends.

A public viewing will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, in Idaho Falls.

A celebration of her life will be held this summer.

She will always be loved, always remembered, and forever missed.

Love you beyond the stars for all eternity! ❤
