Charles Albert Martin, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 13, 2011 at his home. Chuck was born October 10, 1944 in Idaho Falls, to Charles Stuart Martin and Donna Bell Carpenter Martin. He was raised in the Menan area and graduated from Firth High School. In March of 1982, Chuck married Gayle Marie Hansen in Dillon, Montana. Together they raised three children. Gayle passed away August 4, 2003. Chuck served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Heavy Attack Squadron Two. He worked as a farmer, welder, truck driver, mechanic, and carpenter. Chuck was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and enjoyed gardening, reading, writing, building, welding, and especially spending time with his family. Survivors include a son, Vance (Kellie) Anderson of Logan, UT; a daughter Ginger (Michael) Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; a son Kael (Chelsi)Martin of Rexburg, ID; six grandchildren, Eli Anderson, Lennon Anderson, Kyson Nelson, Paiten Nelson, Mason Welker, and Kaelee Martin. He is also survived by three brothers: Jay Martin, Nathan Martin, and Robert Martin, and three sisters: Jean Patterson, Fern Martin, and Sharon Barrett. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three brothers, George and Dale Martin and Don Guymon. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Cache-Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia with a visitation for family and friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at Wood East Side (963 South Ammon Road).
