Christopher Lyn Thornock, 41, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 24, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Chris was born May 12, 1975, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Walter Wilbur Thornock and Peggy Belinda Potter Thornock. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and attended Bonneville High School. He married Heather Torres in December of 1993 in Idaho Falls. To this union were born three children, Joshua, Juliea, and Janessa. Chris and Heather were later divorced. Chris made his home in Idaho Falls where he worked as a diesel/hydraulic mechanic. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and hunting. Chris is survived by his parents, Walter and Peggy Thornock of Ammon, ID; son, Joshua Lynn (Trista) Thornock of Idaho Falls; daughter, Juliea Jezzele Thornock of Boise, ID; daughter, Janessa Annalee Thornock of Idaho Falls; granddaughter, Kimber Mae Thornock of Idaho Falls; girlfriend, Brandi Kerbs and her two children, Breyan and Breydan, of Idaho Falls; sister, Misty Louise (Victor) Martinez of Rigby, ID; grandmother, Donnie Jones of Ammon; and step-grandfather, Roger Jones of Ammon. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karen Borchard; and his grandfathers, George Thornock and Cliffton Potter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016, at the Ammon LDS 10th Ward, 4375 East Sunnyside Road, with Bishop Wes Wood officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
