Christie Gordon - 04/21/2002 Christie Gordon - 04/21/2002 CHRISTIE GORDON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Christie “Chris” Gordon, 68, of Idaho Falls, died April 19, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born September 15, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry Dean Elkington and Nellie Judy Elkington. She attended schools in Idaho Falls and High School in Ammon. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and worked with the Mutual organization and in the Relief Society. She was a housewife and mother to eight children all of her life, was an accomplished seamstress and embroiderer, and also enjoyed quilting and Tri-Chem painting. She was preceded in death by her father, Dean, two daughters, Peggy and Debby, a son, Jerry, a brother, Vernon, and a sister, Judy. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 4th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive, with Dale Handy, former Bishop of the Idaho Falls LDS 22nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
