Christa Broka

Christa Barbara Dusemund Broka, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 10, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Christa was born January 25, 1943, in Trier, Germany, to Franz Joseph Dusemund and Hella Thewalt Dusemund. She grew up and attended schools in Trier and graduated from high school there.

On August 16, 1965, she married David L. Broka in Germany. To this union were born three sons, Thomas, Steven, and Mark. Christa and David made their home in Goodyear, Arizona, for 19 years, and moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, three years ago.

She was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening as could be evidenced by the beautiful gardens at her home.

Christa is survived by

her loving husband of 50 years, David Broka of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Thomas (Heather) Broka of Vail, AZ; son, Steven P. (Christa) Broka of Las Vegas, NV; son, Mark A. (Tara) Broka of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Helmut Dusemund; 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends following the services Sunday afternoon.
