Cheryll Elise Duncan

Cheryll was born June 15, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jay Wayland Duncan and Bonita Ellen (Harrison) Duncan. She was the 9th child out of 11. She attended several grade schools in Idaho Falls and Rigby, and graduated from Bonneville High School.

In 1972, she married Delbert Newman and she had her first son, Jason Newman. Cheryll and Delbert later divorced.

She worked in the service industry for several years. She always put a smile on her customers' faces with her witty personality.

In 1976, she married Stephin Pugh and she had her second son, Aramis Pugh, in April of 1977. Cheryll and Stephin were later divorced.

She later worked for Homes of Jackson Hole until she was injured and had to go on disability. Cheryll then filled her time with sewing, painting, and remodeling. There wasn’t anything that she couldn’t fix or mend. She was a very talented painter. She also loved to cook.

In 1994, she married Lance Mann, who she always said was the love of her life, but they later divorced.

In 2009, her son, Aramis, gave her a grandson, Titus J. Pugh. He was her pride and joy. They played jokes on each other on a daily basis. He truly was her reason to keep going.

Cheryll was a very loving and caring person, but she lived her life on her own terms. There was never a dull moment with her. She was filled with laughter and always said it like it was, no matter what!

Cheryll was fighting cancer for several years and passed away on September 19, 2023, at EIRMC, with lots of her family by her side.

She was survived by her sons, Jason Newman of Colorado and Aramis Pugh of Idaho Falls; grandson, Titus Pugh of Idaho Falls; three brothers, Jeff Duncan of Rigby, ID, Derk (Terri) Duncan of Idaho Falls, and Dennis (Tona) Duncan of Idaho Falls; two sisters, Bonnie Bradley of Idaho Falls and Chyllia Duncan of Idaho Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Larry Duncan, Wayne Floyd Schofield, Jay Wayne Duncan, and Michael Duncan; and one sister, Wanda Schofield.

A celebration of life will be held on November 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at The Elks Lodge, 640 E Elva St, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
