Chase McKinley Winterbottom

Chase McKinley Winterbottom, 35, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 15, 2026.

Chase was born March 12, 1990, in San Diego, California, to Jade Roy Winterbottom and Lillian Louise Lipscomb. He grew up and attended schools in Painesville Township, OH, Sparks, NV, and Idaho Falls, ID. He graduated from Skyline High School, and attended Idaho State University.

Chase worked as a welder for Cives Steel Company.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping , and 4-wheeling.

Chase is survived by his father, Jade Roy (Stacy) Winterbottom of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Lillian Louise Lipscomb of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tessla Marie Winterbottom of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Daxxton Barton Ballard-Winterbottom of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Cody Abe (Charity) Winterbottom of Shelley, ID; nephew, Hunter Winterbottom of Idaho Falls, ID; niece, Raelynn Winterbottom of Shelley, ID; niece, Riley Winterbottom of Shelley, ID; nephew, Stetson Winterbottom of Shelley, ID; and paternal grandma, Rea Kay Winterbottom of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Abe L. Winterbottom; maternal grandpa, Harry M. Lipscomb, Jr.; maternal grandma, Dorene R. Lipscomb; and maternal uncle, Harry M. Lipscomb, III.

A gathering will be held from 12 - 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
