Click Here To View Memorial Video Charlotte Owens Haynes, 80, of Idaho Falls, died August 16, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society, Idaho Falls Village. Charlotte was born August 24, 1932, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gerald Dean “Jerry” Owens and Ona Mae Woolf Owens. She was raised in the Idaho Falls area and attended Idaho Falls High School. On July 22, 1949, she married John R. "Jack" Haynes, and they made their home in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for raising beautiful roses, cheese and macaroni, and spending time with her family. Jack was involved in the Elks Lodge and Charlotte was involved in the Does. Charlotte, Jack, and family enjoyed many wonderful years at their property in Island Park. She enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, classical music, square dancing, and was an avid reader. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by three wonderful children, Shirley (Bryon) Guse-Hare, Thomas (JoAnn) Haynes, and Susan A. Cordova, all of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister, Diane "Nena" Bowman of Temple City, CA, Brother, Gerald Dean (Peg) Owens of Wofford Heights, CA 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Eric Haynes, and a son-in-law, Dave Guse. Her family wants to give special thanks to Dr. Shull and Teton Cancer Institute; Dr. Scherr; Dr. Mayo, Hands of Hope Hospice; Advanced Home Health and Good Samaritan Society, Idaho Falls Village, their employees and volunteers, for their loving care of our mother. At her request, only Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the Sugar City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hands of Hope Hospice, 1379 East 17th Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83404, or the American Cancer Society online at www.cancer.org.
