JAY PERRENOUD
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Charles Jay Perrenoud, 73, our beloved
brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, returned
to his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family March 8, 2005.
Born July 20, 1931, to Leo Herbert Perrenoud and Ada
Delila "Lila" Saurey Perrenoud in Plano, Idaho. Jay’s
schooling was at Plano, Idaho, and Ogden, Utah. He loved farming and gardening
with his father at Plano, which carried over to his life occupations working
in produce with Wes Barber Produce and Saving Center Grocery Stores. He
also was employed for C. Reinhart Construction, as a Security Guard at
the INEEL, and as a custodian for the LDS Church.
He married his eternal companion, Marian Ann Lund, March
20, 1951, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jay’s compatible personality
and high regard for family, relatives, and friends was evident in many
areas of his life. He was well respected by his co-workers, in the various
occupations where he was employed. An active member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many auxiliaries for the Church
including as a Temple Officiator in the Idaho Falls Temple and was a faithful
Home Teacher and served in the Stake Young Men’s Presidency, as
High Priest Group Leader, and on the Stake High Council. He served a Mission
at the LDS Employment Resource Center In Idaho Falls.
He dearly loved his wife, children, their mates, his
grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed the many activities
they shared. He is survived by his wife, Marian, four sons, Ronald (LaDonna),
Craig (Sandra), Dana (Rachael), and Ben (Kamee) Perrenoud, two daughters,
Julie (Tom) Aicher, Clairene (Murray) Longhurst, 26 Grandchildren, four
Great-Grand children, and siblings, twins, Reed (Delores) Perrenoud, of
Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and Rita (Dean) Byram, of Farr West, Utah. He was
preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Glenda.
Grateful thanks are extended to all the physicians who
with their expertise, knowledge, and skills performed intricate operations
in June and August, 2004. Thanks also to all the nursing staff at EIRMC,
Aspen Home Health and Aspen Hospice for their loving care and concern.
A special Thanks to all the neighbors, friends and family who have shown
so much loving concern and care through these past few months.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March
11, 2005, at the Ammon LDS 3rd Ward, 2945 Selway, with Bishop Nate Martin
officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and on Friday
for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Graveside Services and interment will be at the Ogden
City Cemetery, 20th St. and Madison Ave., Ogden, Utah, at 11 a.m. Saturday,
March 12, 2005.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to the
Ward Missionary Fund.
