CHARLES R. MILLER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Charles Raymond Miller, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 5, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of heart disease.
He was born April 29, 1926, in Roanoke, Missouri, to John Franklin Miller and Minnie Lee Shipley Miller. He grew up in Ririe and graduated from Ririe High School. He earned his Associates Degree in Accounting from Weber State College. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He lived in Ririe for 11 years, Ogden, Utah, for 20 years, Buffalo, New York, for two years, Overland Park, Kansas for two years, Rexburg, Idaho, for 12 years, and Swan Valley for 14 years, before moving to Idaho Falls two and a half years ago.
He married Betty Lou Barrow June 5, 1948, in West Warren, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized September 27, 1967, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They were later divorced. He worked as an accountant and owned H&R Block in Rexburg.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Sunday School President, Ward Clerk, and Counselor in the Young Men Presidency. He was a member of a veterans organization. He enjoyed fishing, square dancing, and basketball.

7 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Hazel Belle Rodgers, Eva May Miller, John Franklin Miller Jr., Jannie Virginia Scott, William Henry Miller, David Edward Miller, and Dale Allen Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop D. J. Teichert of the Idaho Falls LDS St. Leon Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home East Side.
Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
