Charles Lynn Joles

Charles Lynn Joles, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 15, 2021, at his home .  He was under the care of Encompass Health.

Charles was born February 18, 1947, in Benton, Arkansas, to Robert  Elmer Joles and Desdimonia Lucille Joles.  He grew up and attended schools in California and Florida .

On January 19, 1967, he married Linda Lee Diamond in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Charles and Linda made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Charles was self-employed in the asphalt paving industry.

Lynn traveled extensively, visiting all of the states. He loved riding his Harley. He enjoyed working and raising his children with his beautiful wife. He loved having a good time and cherished any time spent with his family.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lee Joles of Idaho Falls, ID; daughters, Vanessa (Simon Bailey) Mullins of Idaho Falls, ID, Andrea Joles of Salt Lake City, UT, Sherry (Amie) Wright of North Platte, NE, and Heather (Bobby Ellis) Joles of Hannibal, MO;  sons, Jay Joles of Payson, UT, and Charles Joles Jr of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Holly Joles (Brian) Bennett of Oronogo, MO; sisters-in-law, Barbara Joles of Ringgold, GA; and Allison Leslie of Aubrey, TX; brother-in-law, David Diamond of Springville, UT; 21 grandchildren with one on the way and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Darlene Joles; his grandparents; mother-in-law, Shirley Diamond; father-in-law, Jay Diamond; brothers, Mickey Joles and Ollie Joles; granddaughter, Destiny Desiree; brother-in-law, Tim Leslie; nephew, Carl Bailey III; nieces, Joy Lynn Joles and Tammy Lee; and first born, a baby boy.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at the Ammon Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Avenue) and from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior, both times at the funeral home.
