CHARLES HURST IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Charles Jose “C.J.” Hurst, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 23, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. He was under the care of Alpine Hospice. He was born February 16, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jimmy Carl Hurst and Wilma May Benson Hurst. He attended O.E. Bell Jr. High in Idaho Falls and traveled extensively with family, living in many locations as his father served in the Air Force. He graduated from Eilson High School at Eilson Air Force Base, Alaska prior to joining the Air Force and becoming a vehicle mechanic. He married JoAnn Lorry Healy in 1972. They were blessed with children Christopher and Misty and made their home in Fairbanks, Alaska. They were later divorced. He married Fely Tulabut January 28, 1987 in Hong Kong. Their daughter, Jamie was born in Idaho Falls, then they moved to Eugene, Oregon. They were later divorced. He received many awards and advancements while in the Air Force and completed his service as a Sergeant. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked as a District Manager for Chevron in Eugene, Oregon. He returned to Idaho four years ago to be closer to family. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, reading, going to movies and spending time with his two grandchildren, Jose and Ali. Survivors include: Son: Christopher M. Hurst Daughter: Misty D. Hurst Daughter: Jamie Lynn Hurst Mother: Wilma Marsette Brother: Robert Hurst Brother: Oran (Jennifer) Hurst Sister: Ruth (Eddy) Hurst Sister: Mary Hernandez Sister: Veronica (Mike) McCabe 2 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father; a sister, Nettie; and a brother, Jimmy. Private Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
