Click Here To View Memorial Video Charles Wayne “Chuck” Hillman, 69, of Rigby, passed away on August 10, 2014, at his home. He was born on September 20, 1944, in Portland, Oregon to Marvin Edward Hillman and Noel Yvanne Bell Hillman. The family moved to Idaho Falls where he attended schools, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Specialist E-4. On June 28, 1997, he married Julie Mae Hogue in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Four years ago, they moved to Rigby. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, celebrating 30 years of sobriety. Chuck enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, home renovations, classic cars, and received a medal for sharpshooting. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors are: Wife: Julie Hillman, Rigby, ID Daughter: Angela Cook, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Brady (Tracy) Case, Denver, CO Daughter: Crystal Hillman, Pocatello, ID Daughter: Bobbie (Curtis) Larsen, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Westen Hillman, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Brandon Hillman, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Matt (Kim) Melicharek, Pocatello, ID Daughter: Jennifer (Matt) Wagoner, Idaho Falls, ID Son-in-law: Shawn Webster, Idaho Falls, ID Stepfather: Stanley Bickel 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Hillman; his mother, Noel Hillman-Bickel; a daughter, Shauna Webster; and a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Brad Mason. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at Wood East Side. Burial will be in Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.
