Charles Godleski, 67, of Idaho Falls, lost his battle with cancer August 1, 2015, at his home. He was being cared for by his loving family and OneSource Hospice.
Charles Milo Godleski was born August 29, 1947, in Saint Joseph, Missouri, to Walter S. Godleski and Hazel Leona Bane Godleski. He grew up and amended schools in Saint Joseph and graduated from Central High School in 1965. He was then employed by KMart, working his way up from stock boy to assistant manager, due to his commitment to the Missouri Air National Guard. He went to work for Saint Joseph Light and Power, working his way up from maintenance helper to Control Room Foreman. In the summer of 1983, Charles was offered a job at the INEEL as part of the start up team for a new generation of low emission coal burning boilers. Charles remained at the INEEL for the next 28 years, working various management positions in operations and maintenance.
It was at the INEEL that Charles met Glennis Marie Bingham, the love of his life, and they married August 22, 1998, and remained best friends the rest of his life. Charles and Glennis had many adventures in their travels and enjoyed them all. Charles had too many hobbies to list and Glennis supported him in all of them, whatever they were.
Charles is survived by his wife, Glennis, two daughters, Andrea (Jesse) Tworek of Vancouver, WA and Candice (Brian) Beck of Idaho Falls, ID; a grandson, Robby Smith, two granddaughters, Brittney and Shelby Tworek, and a brother, Joel Nichols of Idaho Falls, ID.
