CEOLA MARSHALL
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Ceola Purcell Marshall, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 23, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of medical complications.
She was born March 22, 1921, in Ammon, Idaho, to Lenard Joseph Purcell and Tillie Anna Blatter Purcell. She attended Ammon Elementary and Ammon High School.
She married Dean Young Marshall February 28, 1940, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Osgood, where they farmed and raised their children.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as Ward and Stake Primary Chorister; Sunday School Teacher; Young Women's President; Camp Director at both Ward and Stake level; Ward Relief Society President; Ward Choir Director and Chorister; and Ward and Relief Society Organist. She served two 18-month LDS missions with her husband, one in Nauvoo, Illinois, and one in Papua, New Guinea. She served as a temple ordinance worker for 17 years. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, sewing, rug making, cooking and making quilts for her grandchildren. Ceola loved to be with her family and attend birthday and family gatherings.

Daughter: Adeana (Davidjohn) Stosich, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Linda Rae (Bruce) Pitt, Centerville, UT
Son: Gary L. (Ramona) Marshall, Micronesia, Guam
Sister: Winnefred (George) Merritt, Centerville, UT
28 Grandchildren and 81 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Walden, Mark, and Rex Purcell; and a son, Ryan Kay.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS Osgood Ward, 7940 North 35th West, with Bishop Gregg Landon officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
