CEDRIC W. BORCHERT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Cedric Walter Borchert, 54, of Idaho
Falls, died May 8, 2004, at his home.
He was born September 3, 1949, at Faribault, Minnesota,
to Harold Christian Borchert and Beata Joanne Sophia Hoffmann Borchert.
He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating in 1967 from Faribault
Senior High School. In 1971, he received a Bachelors of Science Degree
from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. He taught at a boys school
for 2 years and went to Australia to teach for 3 years. He then attended
the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where he
received a Masters Degree in Education.
On May 7, 1982, he married Beverly Kay Squires in Mountain
Home, Idaho. They moved to Idaho Falls that year. They were divorced January
of 2004. He worked as a Collection Officer for the Internal Revenue Service,
at Sherwin-Williams Paint and in construction. He also did volunteer work
for the Red Cross and FEMA.
An active member of the First Lutheran Church, he coached
church softball teams and was in charge of the church softball league.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, camping, football and softball. He
especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, Rachael Marie and
Cassidy Lynn Sanders.

Sister: Linda Hagaseth, Elk River, MN
2 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 14,
2004, at the Idaho Falls First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 455 West Sunnyside,
with Pastor Larry Cudmore officiating.
The family will meet with friends following the services.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be
made to the American Red Cross, 540 - 3rd Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83401,
or the First Lutheran Memorial Fund, 455 W. Sunnyside Road, Idaho Falls,
