CECIL C. SCOTT
LINCOLN, ID -- Cecil Clair Scott, 96, of Idaho Falls, died
May 2, 2005, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1908, in Idaho Falls, to Isaac Clarence
Scott and Nettie Mae Poole Scott. He attended Annis Elementary and graduated
from Rigby High School.
On March 6, 1930, he married Vetta Grover in Rigby. Their
marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on March 25, 1944. He worked
as a grocer and owned Scott's Grocery in Lincoln. He later worked as an investment
and insurance broker and was owner of Cecil C. Scott Insurance Agency. He
was a member of the Lion's Club, the school board and was director of the
Lincoln Cemetery.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, he served in numerous callings including Bishop of the Lincoln Ward
and a sealer at the Idaho Falls Temple. He served for 12 years as a High Councilman
in the Idaho Falls East Stake. He enjoyed camping, gardening, and visiting
friends.

18 Grandchildren, 56 Great Grandchildren, and 21 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, Lynn and Kenneth and four
grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005,
at the Idaho Falls LDS Lincoln 2nd Ward (3700 East Lincoln Road), with Bishop
Kent Gauchay officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from
7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) and for one hour
prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery under the direction of
Wood Funeral Home.
