CECIL F. JOHNSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Cecil Fredrick Johnson, 87, of Idaho Falls, died May 26, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1917, in Shelley, Idaho, to Samuel E. Johnson and Bertha Winefred Rose. He attended Shelley schools, graduating from Shelley High School. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He farmed all of his life in the Shelley area, also working for Safeway, R. T. French Company, and retired from Pillsbury. He loved farming, and, in his spare time, fishing, hunting, animals and pets, but especially enjoyed time spent with his family. Surviving are: Sister: Freda Leatham of Shelley, ID Sister: Frances Shoemaker of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Betty Loveland of Idaho Falls, ID He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Herbert Johnson, and a sister, Virginia George. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery, with Reverend Michael Kennedy of the Shelley United Methodist Church officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family suggests memorials to Primary Childrens' Medical Center, P. O. Box 58249, Salt Lake City, UT 84158-0249. No funeral services will be held. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. After the gathering, friends and family are invited to 2344 St. Clair Avenue for food and drink. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, 2676 Vista Avenue, Boise, Idaho 83705. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
