Cathy Grover Dilley, 72, of Rigby, Idaho, left this world on September 5, 2025. Cathy was born on January 18, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Leslie B. Grover and Lois Margaret Hoopes Grover. She was raised in Archer, Idaho, and lived in Idaho Falls and Rigby, Idaho. Her family remembers Cathy as a wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.
Cathy was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on February 4, 1961. Cathy was first married to Richard Dee Bergeman in Archer, Idaho, they later divorced. She then married Doug Cook, who preceded her in death on October 1, 2000. On June 27, 2003, Cathy married Fred L. Dilley in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; they shared 22 years. Fred cared for Cathy during the last difficult years of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her father, Leslie (December 8, 1934 - May 19, 2003), and her mother, Lois (December 18, 1935 - December 30, 2016).
Cathy leaves behind her husband, Fred Dilley. Her two sons, Baird Leslie Bergeman (Brenda) and Raymond Sylner Bergeman, live in Gillette, Wyoming. Cathy’s grandson, Braiden Bergeman (Shania Maranick), has a daughter. Her grandson Braxton Bergeman (Kaeley) has two children: Kimber and Brooke. Cathy is also survived by five stepchildren: Brent Bergeman, Ty Cook, Cori Cook, John Dilley, and Stephanie Reynolds, who has two daughters, Britany and Courtney McKeny. Courtney is the mother of Ava MaryAnn Smith. In addition, Cathy has three brothers: Brent Grover (Kristen), Dennis Grover (Susan), and Doug Grover; three sisters-in-law, Linda (Jerry) Hankins, Georgia (Don) Smee, and Darlene (Richard) Hamilton; and a brother-in-law, Bruce (Diane) Dilley, who survive her.
Cathy graduated from Madison High School and Vogue Cosmetology College. After graduating, she worked as a beautician. Later, she graduated from Idaho State University and then worked as a materials inspector for the Idaho State Highway Department. This job was meaningful to her as she was following in the footsteps of her father, Leslie, who also worked for the Idaho State Highway Department.
Cathy was constantly found on her favorite horse, Snip, when she was a teenager. They had many adventures with friends. Throughout her youth and most of her life, Cathy enjoyed the outdoors. She and her husband, Fred, enjoyed camping and four-wheeling. She loved to cook for her family, preparing many big holiday meals. Her family members remember her generous acts.
Her family will hold a private memorial service for her. Cathy, you will remain in our hearts and memories.
