Casey was born September 23, 1958, in Centennial Valley, Montana, to Buster and Shirley Richardson, and later moved to Medicine Lodge. He and his four younger brothers enjoyed playing in the creek, catching fish with their hands, and racing to get them back to the water trough before they died. In 1966, they moved to Dubois, Idaho. Casey graduated from Clark County High School on May 16, 1976.
Casey started his forever job on November 1, 1979, for the Idaho State Transportation Department. He excelled and took great pride in his career, working in multiple positions where he was the lead on many projects. Casey married Jolee Rigoulot in 1980, and they had three beautiful children. They later divorced in 1987. He retired on March 27, 2014, receiving his 35-year buckle award, of which he was very proud. After retirement, he was able to spend more time with his family and friends. His kids, and especially grandkids, were his pride and joy!
