Caryl Mae (Ruud) Siepker

Caryl Mae Siepker, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 4, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Caryl was born September 12, 1946, in Afton, Wyoming, to Lester Mickelson Ruud and Goldie Mae Reeves Ruud. She grew up and attended schools in Swan Valley and graduated from Firth High School. She also attended LDS Business College.

On November 21, 1965, she married David Gerhard Siepker in Elko, Nevada. In 1977, they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Caryl and David made their home in Idaho Falls where Caryl worked as a police dispatcher.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Idaho Falls Temple from 2009 to 2012. She loved sports, especially baseball. She loved doing police work and watching crime shows.

Caryl is survived by her husband, David Gerhard Siepker of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Connie (Brett) Hill of Rigby, ID; daughter, Donna (Michelle Davies) Siepker of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Diane (Ray) Sayer of Shelley, ID; daughter, Cathy Simmons of Idaho Falls, ID; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, with 2 more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Goldie Ruud; grandson, Daniel Jarred Southwick; and eight brothers.

Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Idaho Falls Parkview Ward, 2051 S. Emerson. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
