CAROLYN TAYLOR
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Carolyn Louise Austin Taylor, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 27, 2005, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living Center of natural causes. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
She was born May 31, 1926, in Golden, Colorado, to Donald Freeman Austin and Vera Elizabeth Parfit Austin. She was raised by her grandparents, David and Hattie Parfit. She grew up in and attended schools there, graduating from Golden High School. After high school she attended college briefly.
She married Dwight S. Taylor March 9, 1947, in Denver, Colorado. They made their home in Denver, Colorado, and Mountain Home, Idaho, before coming to Idaho Falls in 1964. She was a homemaker and mother. Dwight passed away January 27, 1997.
She was a member of the Idaho Falls First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed fishing, boating, and singing with Sweet Adelines.

5 Grandchildren & 3 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight, a half-sister, Barbara Bonger, and a grandson, Steven Taylor.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. and Monday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I have known her since the early 1980's, when I first joined Sweet Adelines. We had many fun Board of Directors meetings at her home. Carol was such a huge part of the chorus, and the region, for so many years. She will be missed.
