Carolyn Slusser

Carolyn Irene Slusser, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 24, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Carolyn was born September 25, 1939, in Madrid, Nebraska, to Perry Albert Lemmon and Mabel Irene Bierma Lemmon. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School, and received her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University. She married Kenneth Slusser on December 10, 1960, at Trinity Methodist Church. She had two daughters, Saundra and Kathryn. Carolyn and Kenneth made their home in Idaho Falls for over 50 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Many people in the community will remember her working in various retail positions. She enjoyed bike riding, traveling, taking rides in the car, and tending her flower gardens. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Kenneth Peter Slusser of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Saundra Michelle (Larry) Dunsmoor of Klamath Falls, OR; daughter, Kathryn Christine Slusser of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Jeanna Lee Kildow of Salt Lake City, UT; grandson, Paul Andrew Dunsmoor of Hermiston, OR; niece, Tammy Evans of Taylorsville, UT; niece, Brenda Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will meet with friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 N. Water Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83404.
