Carolyn Aicher Hansen, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 20, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, after a lifetime struggle with diabetes.
Carolyn was born September 17, 1961, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Arthur Maurice Aicher and Doris James Aicher. At the time her older sister and four older brothers were more than thrilled to have a new baby sister. At the age of two, she developed Type 1 diabetes. This beautiful blue-eyed strawberry blonde little girl was the apple of her daddy’s eye until he passed away in 1968, when she was seven. Carolyn grew up and attended schools in the Idaho Falls area.
On July 27, 1990, she married Keith Darwin Hansen in Iona, Idaho. They would have celebrated their 25th Anniversary this week. She was a wife and homemaker. Volunteering as a Candy Striper at the LDS Hospital was one of her most joyful activities.
Carolyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was devoted to her dogs and loved them dearly.
