Carolyn Fay Cornwall Grimaud, 72, of Idaho Falls, died June 25, 2008 at her home of Alzheimer’s disease. Carolyn remained at home until the time of her death under the care of her husband and family with the help of Western Visiting Nurses and Aspen Home health and Hospice. She was born May 3, 1936, in Pocatello to Leo Ortell Cornwall and Annie leona Hall Cornwall. She grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. She obtained her degree as a registered nurse from Ricks College. On November 7, 1953, she married Adrian Vernon Grimaud in Pocatello. They solemnized their marriage in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 29, 1963. She was a mother and a homemaker and also workd as a registered nurse in pediatrics at Riverview hospital and at area nursing homes. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Sunday School teacher. She also served as a Democratic Party precinct leader. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, reading, crossword puzzles,gardening, traveling and caring for her grandchidlren. Survivors include her husband; children, Marilyn (Bill) Henry, Helen Grimaud, allen (sherri0 Grimaud and Richard Grimaud, all of Idhao Falls, Barbara (Randy) Francis of St. Anthony, Shirley (Mark) Henry of Rigby, and Janet (Stan) Ingram of Ammon, brothers, Merlin Cornwall, Vernon Cornwall, Howard Cornwall and Harold Cornwall; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorthy Hathaway. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday,, June 30, at Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel, 963 S. Ammon Rd. The family will visit with friends for one hour before services at the funeral home.
