Carol Simpson

Carol Ann Simpson, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 28, 2010, at her home of natural causes. Carol was born July 21, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Arthur Chester Edwards and Erma Viola Hincks Edwards. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. Carol married Dean Charles Simpson Sr. April 8, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived all over the western states for several years as Dean pursued work in construction, eventually settling in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as an office clerk at JELCO, then later as an operator at Pillsbury, from which she retired. Dean passed away August 26, 1993. Carol loved collecting rocks, bottles, and Avon, and enjoyed bowling. Carol is survived by her son, Randy K. (Mary) May of Yakima, WA, daughter, Cindy (Frank) Flores of Missoula, MT, stepsons, Jim (Trudy) Simpson, Dean (Chris) Simpson, and Kenneth (Cheryl) Simpson, all of Pocatello, ID, a stepdaughter, Julia (Ronald) Croft of Boise, ID, two sisters, Donna O'Maley of Idaho Falls, ID, and Billie (Bill) Husbands of Farmington, UT; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dean, and a sister, Emma Lou Edwards. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2010, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
