Carol (Nelson) Schneider

Carol Nelson Schneider, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 6, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Carol was born August 8, 1933, in Iona, Idaho, to Neils Ira Nelson and Ella Rockwood Nelson. She grew up in Iona and Idaho Falls and graduated from Iona High School.

On January 29, 1952, she married Wayne Porter Schneider in the Idaho Falls Temple. Carol and Wayne made their home in Idaho Falls.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed making teddy bears, sewing, crocheting, baking, and plastic canvas.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Becky Schneider of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Chris (Kelly) Schneider of Chubbuck, ID; son, Jerry (Xemina) Schneider of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Brent (Kerrie) Schneider of Kuna, ID; son, Scott (Lorynne) Schneider of Idaho Falls, ID; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wayne Porter Schneider.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Iona Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
