Carol (Poole) Rhoades

Carol Poole Rhoades, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 5, 2022, at her home. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Carol was born May 23, 1938, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Kenneth and Verla Poole. She grew up and attended schools in Menan, Idaho.

On April 10, 1965, she married Sharl Rhoades in Elko, Nevada. They created a blended family. To this union were born two children, John and Pam. They were joined by Carol’s three daughters. Sharl and Carol made their home in Idaho Falls where Carol worked as a manager of Super 8 Motel for 30 years.

Carol is survived by her four daughters, including Pam Williams; son, John Rhoades;  brothers, Kester (Ann) Poole, and Jack (Linda) Poole; sisters, MaryAnne (Roger) Oien, and Fann (Larry) Jenkins, Colleen (Max) Lowe; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sharl Rhoades, father, Kenneth Poole, mother, Verla Poole, brother, Kent Poole, and sisters, Penny Brink, Joann Wright, and Janet Janssen, and one grandchild.

A gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon Friday, November 18, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue.
