Carol Phipps

Carol Ann Phipps, 66, of Idaho Falls died at the home of her caregivers, Rex and Jeanne Thueson, Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was born December 5, 1944 to Henry and Hazel Phipps in Twin Falls, Idaho. As an adult she moved to Idaho Falls and lived with Renee Quinton at the Quinton Manor. Carol attended the Options Program where she enjoyed many friendships. She especially loved the dinner club and lunches with her friends. Carol was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, her dogs, (Izzy and Zoe), eating in her favorite restaurants, with her best friend Sheila Torres, taking pictures, and sitting in the flower garden on a warm summer day. She always looked forward to attending Special Primary and visiting with her peers. Carol will be remembered for her smile, laughter and love of people. She blessed our lives with a cheerful attitude. She is survived by her sister, Veda (Jun) Shiosaki of Blackfoot, Idaho, and her brother, Oliver (Patty) Phipps of Twin Falls. Graveside services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Blackfoot Grove City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 South Ammon Road) prior to leaving for the graveside services in Blackfoot. A luncheon for relatives and friends will be held following the graveside service.
