Carol Ann Norell Ingram, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 29, 2022, at her home. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Carol was born on July 2, 1936, to Dorothy Elizabeth Lyon and Ernest Heber Norell in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from high school in 1954.
After graduating, she worked as a secretary at R&G Jewelers where she met a young man named Robert Lee Ingram. After a short courtship, they eloped on January 1, 1955, in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Carol spent her life serving and helping others. She and Bob had five children who kept her busy with their activities. In 1970, they opened their own jewelry store named Cardith's, which was later renamed Ingram's Jewelers. She spent many years typing and mailing statements, engraving trophies, wrapping customer’s purchases, and keeping showcases clean and fingerprint free.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. She will always be remembered for being a faithful visiting teacher. Carol and Bob served a mission at the Idaho Falls Temple Visitor's Center in their later years. She also served at the Idaho Falls Humanitarian Center for many years.
To her family, she was always available to help with babysitting grandchildren, painting, unpacking, or whatever odd job needed done. Her hands were always busy! She fixed many family feasts and always had candy somewhere to find.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Ann (Gregory) French, Stan Lee (Janet) Ingram, Brenda Lynn (Steven) Curtis, Ronda Kay Ingram, Angela Fay (Richard) Black, 14 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Summerfield Ward, 3721 Shadow Mountain Trail. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
