Carol K Collins, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 13, 2024, at her home from complications with ALS. She was under the care of her loving family and Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
Carol was born November 9, 1945, in Gooding, Idaho, to Alva K. Nebeker and Ina Louise Stanger Nebeker. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Murtaugh High School.
On June 25, 1965, she married Robbie Gene Collins in Murtaugh, Idaho. Carol and Robbie made their home in Kimberly, Idaho, where they raised their three children.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carol enjoyed hiking, water sports, gardening, and running. She is hard to describe in a few sentences. Carol was so much more than this. She was an amazing grandmother and cheered us on in whatever we did. Carol was grace, love, and strength. She was classy, sassy, and full of generosity. Our lives are blessed because she was ours. Our eternities will be glorious because she will be there.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Alisa (Daniel) Klassen of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Teresa (Thomas) Aicher of Iona, ID; son, Randy (Stephanie) Collins of Ammon, ID; sister, Larae (Gordon) Curtis of Twin Falls, ID; brother, Gary (Linda) Nebeker of Twin Falls, ID; sister, Irene (Kerry) Dye of Twin Falls, ID; sister, Marva (Kent) Carter of American Falls, ID; 14 grandchildren and 22 and two-halves great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Ina Nebeker; husband, Robbie Collins; sister, Irene Murphy; and a brother, William Nebeker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Idaho Falls Caribou Ward,1860 Kearney Street, with Bishop Dustin Christopherson officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Twin Falls, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to ALS United: Rocky Mountain.
Services will be streamed live from the church.
