CAROL HOWELL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Carol Ann Cavender Howell, 68, of Idaho Falls, died June 3, 2008, at Life Care Center. She was born January 5, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to David W. Cavender and Lora B. Champion Cavender. Her early years were spent in Irwin and Menan, where she went to grade school. She attended high school in Ririe and Idaho Falls. She later attended Glen Clark Business School in Idaho Falls. On August 31, 1977, she married Stanley C. Howell in Madras, Oregon. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised their daughter, Candie. She worked for various companies in Idaho Falls, including DOE, BLM, FHA, and the City of Idaho Falls. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, putting puzzles together, fishing on Palisades Lake, and working in her yard. Carol especially enjoyed being with her grandsons, Tanner Townsley, A.J. Townsley, Skyler Olsen, and Joseph Howell; and her very dear friend, Connie Jacobsen. She is survived by her husband Stan; her daughter, Candie (James) Olsen; stepsons, Joseph Howell and Christopher Howell; and four grandsons. She is also survived by her sisters and brother: Ethel Wilson of Moore, ID; Jeanne Davis of Idaho Falls; David Cavender, Jr. of Madras, OR; and Terri (Ken) Reed of Madras, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Geraldine Alps. Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Swan Valley Cemetery, with Cory Brower officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
